Zélia Coelho Santos
Zelia Coelho Santos is a nutritionist with a PhD in International Health in the specialty of Health and Development Policies. Master’s in health services administration and Management. Postgraduate degree in Health Services Management. Ms Coelho Santos has been working in different areas of clinical nutrition since 1997 at the “Egas Moniz” Hospital where she is responsible for the Nutrition and Dietetics Service. As a Teacher of higher education at “ESTeSL-IPL”, Ms Coelho Santos collaborates in research projects, performs scientific work and has also presented and published at national and international level, having some of her research papers been awarded. She develops opinion articles and testimonies in various media channels.
Ms Coelho Santos promotes the adoption of healthy eating through nutritional and functional individualization throughout a person´s life cycle. From a perspective of a healthy lifestyle, with an adequate prevention and treatment for chronic non-contagious diseases and aiming to promote a pleasant aging phase, based on knowledge and acquired skills.
In 2020 she joined the multidisciplinary team of the Clinical Institute of Allergology (ICA), with nutrition consultations in the different areas of clinical nutrition in order to prevent and treat different pathologies.
