Rheumatology

Rheumatology is the area of medical knowledge that dedicates itself to diagnoses, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation as well as the investigation of the various disorders that affect the locomotive system. This skeletal muscle system integrates the joints, the bones, the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

These are chronic disorders and for this reason its predominance increases with aging, despite many times being often early diagnosed. In developed countries, these pathologies are mostly frequent, causing a higher number of personal and 

professional incapacity. In Portugal, around half the populations suffers from at least, one rheumatic disease.

The correct diagnoses allow the patient to fight against the loss of life quality and wellbeing, helping to prevent incapacities.
